"And i miss you, I’m goin back "home" to the west coast..." - From the song West Coast

So you've guessed it, I'm back in California. Well, I've been back in California since the 21st. haha...oops. We of course had a party where I got incredibly drunk, which, I never do anymore. I need to remember to eat more next time. Sigh. Oh well. At least I wasn't the only one!
Since I've been back Tyler's parents had the party, I've got to see two of my best friends and some of Tyler's family and their friends. It's all been very nice, but as my time here is coming to a close, I feel like I could use a couple more days. I mean, I feel like I need to spend more time with friends and do more things while back in the states. So much to do...so little time. Such is life huh?
Christmas was relaxing, we got some nice gifts and had fun with the immediate Berry family. We even played Risk, which got really intense! Man, to think I've had two Christmases this year! One in Texas with my family, and one here with his family. I feel so blessed. Tyler and I have been talking about how good this year was to us a lot lately. I mean, yes it sucked that I was separated from him for a year, but in other ways, we were blessed. He came back from Afghanistan with literally a scratch, I graduated from college, we've been married over a year (though most of it we were apart), we made lots of money and have done well since the deployment even with my student loans,  my paper work finally went through so I can live in Germany (yessss! God is good!) and we finally got to spend our first Thanksgiving and Christmas together as a married couple. :)
Now, I don't want this to come across as me bragging because I am honestly truly grateful for all of this, but sometimes it's hard to express how grateful one is. We are trying to give back by giving money to charities we believe in, so there's that. What else? We're also trying to save up for things we want/need to do like travel around Europe, our celebration of marriage, our new home in Germany...stuff like that.

Anyway, it's getting late. Here are some pics from my time thus far in California for y'all to enjoy! :)

"An old friend never can be found, and nature has provided that he cannot easily be lost." -Samuel Johnson

First post with my new computer! Who's excited?! haha. It's really ok if you're not, I'm just excited to have a computer that doesn't randomly crash, runs at a fast pace and can read script (whatever that means anyway). Plus, my wonderful husband bought it for me as a birthday/Christmas present! :) Love that man. The only downfall is that I'm going from a wonderful Macbook back to a PC. Oh well.
Speaking of not knowing what things mean, I've decided that I need to learn how to make my blog fancier, er, well, I need to make it look better. I also need to remember to label things in my posts. The problem is, I suck at almost all things computer. Granted, I took computer classes and stuff in high school, but for some reason, this stuff is hard for me. Sigh. Maybe the hubby can help. He's good at this stuff. He's actually really smart in general; it's kind of intimidating.
Today, Tyler, my parents, my sister and I went to the Dallas Zoo. Man, I hadn't been there in ages! They've really improved things.Tyler's hand got licked by a giraffe, we saw male lions getting trained...where can you really do/see that? Of course, it's no San Diego Zoo, but hey, I liked it. Side note, it was REALLY nice outside...like 75 and sunny. AMAZING!
If I've lost you by now, sorry. It's honestly just how fast my brain works, well, or it could just be that my life isn't to exciting right now haha.
Tyler and I leave for California tomorrow. I am excited about it, but I will miss my family and friends here in Texas. It was nice to be home for a little though. It's nice to know that after all this time, that I still have friends (two in particular) who really care about me and hang out with me whenever I'm here. The two in particular are even going to be bridesmaids. :). I hope and pray I can say the same about some of my friends in California. I know I have to "move on" and make new friends where I'm at, but I still want to remain friends with at least some of them in California. I mean, it's not like I will be gone forever. Tyler and I are planning on coming back to California after he's done. Sigh. I hope it works out. I really do. I like my friends there lots. Even love many of them. Some are even like family to me. Wow, I sound pitiful. But, alas, it's how I feel. I've had a lot of ups and downs this past year (my husband being deployed, graduating college...just to name a few), but I feel if these friendships and my marriage have made it, man oh man, nothing can stop me now! (I hope.) Here's to looking on the bright side of things!

Back in the US of A

Well folks, we made it; we're back! And man oh man did we leave Europe just in time! So many people are having problems getting out now because of the weather. I'm praying that you all make it out quickly and safely return home.
Here's how our journey to the states went: we woke up 5:30am Wednesday to shower and make sure we had everything together. Before 7 we were out the door to load the car and get gas. We made it to Frankfurt by 8:15 or so. After we painlessly returned the car, we made our way to the Terminal to check in and check the one bag. Our flight wasn't until 12:45, but we decided to bite the bullet and go through security and just wait around there. To board the plane, they loaded us on to buses and took us to the plane. It was really weird. I was standing next to this really obnoxious man on the way to the plane. He was saying how he was pissed that there were all these soldiers here. He was like, why can't they contain them somewhere and let all the normal people board the plane first. This really pissed me off. How can someone even say that. Yes, there were a lot more soldiers than normal, but that's because many are on leave after being deployed. What an ass. Ugh. I mean, maybe he was just upset that there were so many people there, but none of the soldiers were being obnoxious, annoying or disruptive. They all just wanted to get home. Other people were worse. Some people just really piss me off ugh.
Anyway, we left late since it was an extrememly full flight, but somehow we managed to land in Chicago an hour early. WOAH. So, instead of 6 hours of layover, we now had 7. haha. Oh joy. After we took off in Chicago I heard about an hour or so later it started to get really stormy. God must have been looking out for us! Long story short we made it to my house in Texas about 11:30pm central standard time. It's nice to be home with the family. Getting some good games in, Christmas shopping, seeing old friends...life is good.
Tuesday we leave to California to spend Christmas with Tyler's family, and I'm excited to be back in Cali and see friends there :)
Really, I'm just glad not to be in snow and that I'm seeing the sun! haha.

I know this was kind of a boring post, but I hadn't updated in awhile and I thought that y'all would like to know what was going on. I'll try and attempt to put pictures on since I'm using a different computer now. I also have been inspired by a blog my friend showed me, so I'll try and be more exciting and inspiring. :)
We'll have more trips to talk about soon, and I may just start to blog more about everyday life. I enjoy writing and talking, so that will work for me! haha.
Ok, enough for now. Have a great day!

Time to Learn

So, there's really not much to catch you up on this past week, I mean, Monday, I went to the Christmas Market/downtown to walk around and buy new boots. I finally got some! woohoo! I'll take a picture of them soon. I also got a cheap black scarf. Always nice. The Christmas Market is always fun too. Very cheery. I also saw kids taking pictures with St. Nicholas. He kind of looked like the pope haha. Tuesday, Tyler had his wisdom teeth out...all 4. Yikes. Now, I have not had the pleasure of doing that yet, but I hear it sucks. Though, I must say, he's being quite the trooper. He isn't puffy and says that he isn't in that much pain. :) He has off for the next few days to recover, so we're just hangin' out and watching some TV and movies and his computer. Always good to relax. So in a nutshell, that was most of my week.
On Thursday, I went to school with Jessica. She wanted to to come to be interviewed by 14 and 15 year-olds who are learning English. They also were very curious about America. She picked me up from my hotel around 6:50 in the morning. Gross. haha. The weather was terrible! Luckily, we made it in a timely fashion. School and starts at 8, and so began my interview. We started off by going over stereotypes. They would tell me the sterotypes of America, and I would tell them if they were true or not, and yes, I had to explain several things. Some of the stereotypes were really funny and unfortunately expected like, for example, Americans are loud and obnoxious. Sigh. I knew it was coming though. The ones that made me laugh were, we eat fast food all the time, we love coke with ice and we carry guns. haha. Oh good. After we finished that, they made me come up with stereotypes about Germans. Jessica had warned me about that in the car, and I asked how mean I could go? And she said please be as mean as you'd like. Well, here it goes...you have a harsh/angry language, you're strict, you're always on time, you are modern and technological especially with cars, you drink beer all the time, Oktoberfest, leederhosen, you all are Nazis and hate Jews. haha. Yup, totally said that. hahaha. But they actually responded well and I think helped them to be more comfortable talking to me. Then, we started the next portion of the interview...question and answer. There were questions about how I grew up, the school system, when I learned to drive, my hobbies, favorite TV show, movie, singer, politics, sports, friends and dating...we covered a lot. They were so shy, but I could tell wanted to ask me a lot. The hardest part for me was remembering to slow down when I talked and explaining things like the school system. In turn, I asked them questions about growing up in Germany and the differences. It was very interesting. I really had fun doing this, and I hope I can come do it again. They were so precious.
That night, there was a Medic Platoon party at this restaurant on base. It was to get everyone together and say bye to those who were leaving. So many people are leaving! It's shocking. Like, all these people I thought I could be friends with, nope, leaving. At least Jessica and her hubby will still be here. Anyway, if they were an NCO, they got a saber and their wife got flowers. It was nice.
Well, today everything is covered in snow, but it's sunny. I haven't seen the sun in awhile, it's a nice change. Have a good day everyone! :)

Catching up

Apologies for the lack of posting! Not that I've forgotten about this, but sometimes there is just other things to do, people to see, TV shows/Movies to watch...ya know? Ah well. I will try and be better about keeping up with this again.
Lets see, last I left you it was before Thanksgiving! Yikes. My bad. Well, Thanksgiving for us was kind of, well, not boring, but it was close. Our dinner plans fell through, and it was to late to tell the others who invited us, "haha! Just kidding, we're coming!" That would've been rude. Tyler also didn't want to take me to the Cafereria thing they have because he said, "Only losers go there on Thanksgiving." If any of you reading this went there on Thanksgiving, you are not a loser. In hines sight, we should have just gone there. We did have a nice relaxing day just sitting around watching TV/Movies off his hard drive. And for Thanksgiving dinner, we have German food. We actually never left the hotel room; we ordered in. Tyler did venture out to the Cafeteria to get us some pie. haha.
The next day, Tyler and I went grocery shopping. In our room we had a fridge with freezer and a microwave. In the other building, there was a community kitchen, so we could cook. Score! That night, we went out for Jessica's birthday. Greek food. Delicious. It was really fun :). The rest of the weekend, we just relaxed and figured out some celebration of marriage things. All in all a good time. Ok, so, that's not all we did. Sunday, we went to the Christmas Market in downtown Schweinfurt. So cute! I loved it! I can't wait to go to the bigger ones someday. There was a band playing, a horse and carriage, all these cute little vendors and delicious food. Can't forget about the Gluwine. mmm. It's strong, heated up wine. We had two cups. We also had a creepe and candied nuts.
That week Tyler went to work, I ran some errands and we just enjoyed each other. We would cook dinner together almost every night. :) It's been really fun. Yes, some days I'm lazy and don't do much, but I figure, when else in my life am I going to get to do this?
This past weekend, we moved to a new hotel on Saturday. wooo? Third one since I've been here. haha. Luckily, they have great internet. Score. That night, we went to Lisa's birthday party. Tyler calls her the mom of the platoon because her husband is the Lt. She turned 30...oooo! We started off the night shopping at H&M to get Tyler a new coat and some socks. It's a nice coat. Then we hung around the Christmas market to kill time before the party. The party was supposed to start 7 ish, so naturally, Tyler and I get there about 6:55. They were still setting up everything at this Indonesian restaurant, which Tyler and I had been to before. It's delicious btw. It's called Mega's. Tyler and I were put to work hanging streamers. Eventually her husband goes off to get her. More people start to show up. By 8pm, they still weren't there. People were getting antsy. Finally, by 8:30, they arrived and the party could start. After gross red wine, a few shots and a Rattler (either beer with lemonade or beer with 7up) it was off to the Salsa club. We stayed there for a bit and I danced with the other wives and the bday girls husband. Hell, I even got Tyler to dance two songs! hehe. But after some time there, we were getting really tired so we went home to our hotel. Yesterday, Sunday, we luckily got to be lazy and sleep in and just hang out and watch TV/Movies.
Today, Tyler had to wake up early to make sure he could make it to PT on time. Gross. I have problems getting back to sleep after he leaves, but I managed. Then, around 9 I went downstairs and had breakfast. I stayed there for about 40 minutes, giving them time to clean my room, but when I went back up, they hadn't even started cleaning any room! haha. Oh good. They can just do it this afternoon :p
I'm thinking about going to downtown Schweinfurt and just walking around. I do want new boots. Plus, it's something to do. There's always the Christmas Market.
Well friends, I think it's time to start my day. I've had fun catching you all up. I will try to be more religious about updating this. Have a good day!

Ah, TV

So, I forgot to mention TV in my last post. Man oh man, how could I forget that? If any of you have the opportunity, youtube Family Guy or South Park in German. So funny! There's also this show "Farmer meets Wife" or something like that. It's so funny. I don't know what's going on most of the time, but I've been told that they're basically redneck/white trash Germans trying to find love. Aww how precious. I mean, since we're on base they have AFN which gives us more American shows and stuff in English. There's like 3 or 4 of those channels. Germans also play TV shows like Friends in English, so that's nice. We've been watching a lot of Jeopardy, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, CNN (CNN world as well), BBC News and Friends/Family Guy and stuff like that. haha.
With watching the news comes some interesting and sometimes heartbreaking things. We were awake when the South Korea Harbor got bombed and the 29 miners in New Zealand died. We also get a lot about the upcoming British Royal Wedding. Needless to say, I'm stoked! Not only do I love wedding and hearing about them, but I, for some reason, am obsessed with the British Royal Family.  Trust me, on April 29th, I will be watching the procession and all on TV. Do I think that some of it is gaudy and ridiculous? Absolutely. But they're the freakin' royal family! Sigh. Oh the Brits.
Well, that's all for now! Until next time.

It's getting colder and the holidays are coming nearer

Hello all! Well, nothing but the same old same old for me really. These past couple days I've really just been exploring base. I mean, that's good though, right? I am going to live here after all. I've been to the gym, the PX (like a designer Walmart haha), the Commissary (grocery store) and much more. We found there's a common kitchen we can use to cook at the hotel on base, so that will be nice. Today, we bought our first pot, pan, etc. as a couple! Eek! I was sooooo excited! I mean, finally, we're buying stuff together. Weird, huh?
So, somehow I  irritated a muscle that goes from under my boob to my back, so I've been trying to rest that. It's finally feeling better today! Yes! Random? Yes...Also, it's getting so cold. I don't enjoy this. I love heat. Ah well. Something to get used to I guess.
Saturday we got to hang out with Jessica and her hubby Skalak. It was so much fun! We had a great dinner with great conversation and so much alcohol. Oh my gosh. We started the night off with Champagne, then moved to red wine for dinner, then Jessica and I had Martinis while the boys had white wine. finally, we ended our evening with Kluwine (spelling?). Basically, this is strong wine you heat up on the stove. It's so good! Needless to say, we didn't leave their apartment till about 2 in the morning and were pretty drunk. haha. It was a really fun night :)
Monday, was my birthday. 23rd birthday to be exact. I didn't do much that day, but that can be nice too. I even did laundry...oooo. Then, for dinner we got dressed up and went to a cute little Italian restaurant. It was delicious. Not as good as our favorite Italian place down the block, but it came close.
Tomorrow is Thursday, which means it's Thanksgiving. We don't really have any big plans, but I know they do stuff on base and we'll get to be together which is really all that should matter. :)
I hope everyone has a happy and delicious Thanksgiving tomorrow! I think Saturday we're going to some Christmas markets! hooray! I can't wait.

Just livin' life

Saturday evening around 6 (1800), Tyler came back!  And man oh man was it a to-do! I got there like an hour before and was anxiously awaiting his return. The Bells (one of Tyler's SGT's and his wife) were so kind as to come get me from my hotel and take me to the gym. We were waiting around outside for awhile, then decided to go in the gym and take our seats. I was so anxious, I just couldn't wait any more. Then, I met April, Matt's fiance. She was waiting for Matt to come back with Tyler. As we were sitting and talking, I found out she was in the Army too, and she used to be in the 1-91 in Germany. They met in A-stan when Matt hurt his hand and she patched him up...Cute.
We both could not take it any longer! When were they coming dang it!? then there was an announcement: "Ladies and Gentlemen." Yes? Could it be? "In 10 minutes they will be arriving." What?! Really? Was that necessary? 10 ish minutes later, they had arrived and people were screaming in anticipation. Then they started a fog machine and out they came in formation. They marched out, stood, there was a prayer and they were released. Tyler ran over to me, picked me up while kissing me and swung me around. We were so happy...and so in shock. We couldn't believe that the other was there. After chatting with some others we got his bags and were on our way to the hotel downtown.
We stayed there till Tuesday, when we moved to the hotel on base. That hotel is soooo much easier for Tyler. We've done some exploring, found some good restaurants and have really just enjoyed being with each other. It's just so different for us. We'll just sit and talk and stare at each other, which may sound weird, but we haven't been able to really do that since March.
The base itself is very interesting. I have been here before, but now I'm actually paying attention to where things are. haha. It was an old Nazi base, so of course, I find this all fascinating. They even have some of the original buildings and statues. Of course, all the Swastikas and things have been taken down.
Tonight is their Platoon party which I think we're going to for a little bit. Then, I hear people are going bar hopping. We'll probably join for a little. Should be fun. Tyler will get to be with his guys and me. Win win.

Have a great day everyone! :)

So excited! Stoked even.

Yesterday, I was kind of a bumb. I really didn't do much of anything, which is probably for the best because I needed to rest and relax before Tyler gets here, which should be a couple hours from now. EEK! Excited doesn't even being to cover the wide range of emotion that I am feeling right now. It's probably the best one, and the most overpowering emotion...stoked may be a better word. haha.
So anyway, last night I went out with some Army guys and Coleman's German gf, Laura. It was really really fun. We walked around in the rain a it, ate at this Turkish/German restaurant, which was delicious. I decided to name the food Deutschurky. haha. After that, we went to an Irish Pub, yes....Irish. Random, I thought so. It was a lot of fun though. Got me to relax. Once I got back to the hotel, I changed and read some. Eventually, I got tired and went to sleep. I didn't sleep all to well last night, but I'm not really surprised by that. I mean, come on now...my husband who I haven't seen in almost 8 months is coming home to me!!!!! :) AHHHHHHHHH. I finished the current book I was reading this morning because I couldn't sleep anymore. I also really wanted to know how it ended. haha. Oh me. This is the second book I've finished THIS WEEK. I think my intense reading will calm down for a bit though.
You know what's weird? How nice all these people have been to me. I know sometimes military guys, or military people in general get a bad rap, but these guys? No, they're so nice. When we're out they always make sure I'm doing ok, having fun, get enough food or drink, etc. etc. Yes, part of it may be who I'm married to, but I also think that they honestly care and maybe see me as a potential friend. I'd like to think so anyway. I also enjoy hanging out with these guys...the range in ages from about 20 to 27/28 or so. Its a good mix. Generally their wives or girlfriends are fun too. haha.
The weather is weird today. It's very cloudy and gloomy, but it like stops a bit from the horizon and you can see a little blue sky and sunlight. It's like how I'm feeling right now kind of. I have hope for happiness (the hope is the blue sky and sunlight). Hope that Tyler and I will be reunited in a few hours. And then the sun will be out in all its glory, well at least for me. :)

So close and yet, so far

Ok, so last I left you it was Wednesday morning for me. Well, after I was on the computer for a little, I decided to go back to my room, shower, read and get ready. I only did the shower and read part. Next thing I knew it was getting dark outside...about 4 pm (1600). What?! I had fallen asleep. ugh. Stupid jet lag. I was so mad at myself for doing that. I was supposed to explore. But, part of me thinks that I did that un purpose so I wouldn't have to deal with things by myself anymore. Thank goodness Jessica, the army wife I'm been talking to, texted me about going to dinner. Yes, we went to the same restaurant as I had the night before, but who cares. Food is food. I finally got to meet her and her husband and I was so excited! Later in the night, 3 others came. Two guys Tyler knows and the one's fiance. I really enjoyed them all. I'm glad that I'm meeting people, but at the same time, I'm kind of sad that some of them are leaving soon. That night I stayed up till like 2  because I wasn't tired until then. Stupid nap.
Yesterday, Thursday, I woke up and didn't feel that great. I think it was a mixture of weird sleep and anxiety. Somehow, I managed to eat some breakfast and have a nice leisurely morning. After I got ready, I decided to explore Schweinfurt. Plus, I had to get supplies to make posters for Tyler. (side note: I just tried to upload pics from my ventures, but it wouldn't let me...I'll try again later. You can just look on facebook haha). Once I had explored, got the supplies and was very cold, I decided to have a late lunch. Then I took a walk around the park by my hotel. After that, I really needed to warm up, so I went back to my room. I read for a bit and of course, I fell asleep. Luckily, it was only for about an hour. Then I worked on Tyler's posters and was thinking that a bath would be nice. After I was in the bath for a little, Tyler called and I got to talk to him, which was very nice. Why can't it be tomorrow (Saturday) already?! ugh. I'm so sick of waiting and being alone. After I got off the phone, I realized I hadn't eaten dinner. Ah well. I had a protein bar and trail mix. wooo. But, most of you know me and food...I love food, and I love to eat. Weird that I would "forget." Ah well. I got on the computer for a bit and the receptionist lady in the lobby came over and put a personal heater by me. The heat in the lobby doesn't work, and that's the only place with internet right now. Fail. We eventually got to talking and I learned the hotel is actually closing in December to finish the renovations. As I was leaving, she asked if I was a soldier's wife and asked me about that. She also warned me that the hotel on base was supposedly full for awhile and that even high ranking people's families weren't getting in. Great. Just my luck. But, she went on to say that there was always room at this hotel if I needed to extend my stay. At least there's that. She also said she could hook me up with candles and then said something about Prozac...what? Thanks...I guess...haha. We'll just have to see. I'm going on post (base) today to see how long it takes me to sign on etc. I'm also going to the hotel to see why they aren't answering their phone ever and if they have room. If they don't well, I'll ask when they have availability, and Tyler and I can stay at this current hotel or in the room that he is going to have to share in the barracks. ew. Sigh. I also hear because he's technically still living in the barracks, because my paper work isn't done, that he has a curfew. ha, of course he does. People are seeing if that can be waived for him since I'm here. I love it when Army people are helpful. We'll see. Prayers are appreciated.
Anyway! You'll be happy to know that I was asleep by 11:30 (2330) last night. Thank goodness for a normal sleep schedule!
Wow, I'm already thinking about what to do for tonight. I mean, after all, it is Friday. I really don't want to be alone another night. It sucks. For some reason the night is when I get the loneliest. Sigh. Hopefully I can come up with something.
Well, time for me to get ready and eventually head to post. Ew. I don't really want too, but I know I should. Sigh. I'll let you know how all of that goes. Hopefully this will let me post pics later. Otherwise, there's facebook! haha. :)

Finally Here

So, I made it. Finally! And, man oh man, let me tell you...what a journey! Yesterday was a long day. Let me paint the picture for you...
I leave LA, Monday at 3pm. I actually think we left late, whatever. Lufthansa airlines is ok, nothing to special I feel. There were some REALLY obnoxious people on the plane. They were adults, but shouting across the plane. NOT ok. Luckily, the wonderful Indian woman sitting next to me spoke up, along with a few others. We land in Germany around 10:15/10:30 in the morning. When you land with Lufthansa you don't get off at the Terminal, you get off and go on to a bus that takes you to the terminals. Once there I exchange some money, hand them my passport, which gets stamped and go to get my baggage. Once I have my two bags (big mistake fyi) I make my way to the ticket station for the train. After I buy a ticket I wait for the train to take me to Wurzburg. Mind you, I was struggling getting on the train with my two bags. Sigh. In Wurzburg I have to change trains and have only 5 minutes to do so. I thought I was doomed. But this wonderful middle-age German couple saw me struggling and helped me find where I needed to go. They even ran with me. Pretty sure they didn't speak English. Thank goodness the train was running a few minutes behind. 30 minutes later, I was in Schweinfurt. From the train station I took a taxi to the hotel and could finally shower and rest. The hotel is ok. I was told online there would be internet in the rooms and there's not...only in the lobby. Probably something to do with the construction.
Last night I had met some of Tyler's friends and guys he's spent his past year with. That was really nice. They were all very nice to me and I got to hear great stories about my wonderful husband. I just wish he would've been there. Oh well. 3 shots of tequila and a margarita later (yes, I did eat too) I was off to bed. Though, when 2am came around I was wide awake for a few hours. sigh. No naps today!
Random, tangent...if one more person thinks I'm German...haha. Kidding. It is kind of nice that I blend in. What sucks is that I don't know German that well. There's lots of smiling and nodding, and of course, laughing. It started on the plane with most of the flight attendants speaking to me in German. Then, the Indian woman next to me asking me what they were saying over the intercom in German. When I told her that I was American, she was shocked! It kept going...the taxi driver was so confused when I spoke English to him haha. Last night when I was sitting in the lobby on the computer (like now) I asked a man for the internet pass code. Once I handed it back, he looked at me and was like "Wow, either you're American, which I doubt or you've just learned how to get rid of your accent." I was really taken aback when he said this to me and was trying to think of a way to act like I was actually German. I came up with nothing. So I was like, "No, I'm American. haha" Oye vey. Let's hope I pick German up quickly! At least I know some.
It's 10:20 in the morning here, I feel like I should probably go out and venture, but truthfully I'm kind of scared.  Yes, it's a safe city all things considered and yes, I can do things by myself, but I'm tired of being lonely and alone all the time. I want someone to explore the city with. Hell, even a host family or something would be nice. Ha. I guess I'll shower, relax and prepare myself for the cold and go explore for a little. Pictures to come!

Emotions...

My emotions are currently all over the place. I leave for Germany Monday, and I'm so unbelievably excited! Yet, there is a part of me that is nervous and a bit anxious. Once I land in Frankfort, I have to go on the train for two hours by myself with all my luggage. Oh, I also have to switch trains in the middle. GAH! I know I can do it, but it makes me nervous. Once I land, I just want to get there. Sigh. It's ok...I can do this! I will get to be with my husband soon and that is all that matters. Well, that, and I'll get to travel a whole bunch! Yesssss! Stoked.
The other thing that kind of gets me is that for the first time Tyler and I will actually live together as husband and wife. Imagine that. I am overjoyed but this, but at the same time, I know it will take some getting used to. We will be in a honey phase for awhile at least hehe. It will take some time to get reacquainted with each other, but I am sure we will be fine and will have no problems doing so.
Other than that, I will miss my friends (and family). They have been so supportive of me throughout this process. Sure there have been things here and there, but no matter what, they have been there for me...I don't know if they know how much I truly appreciate that. I hope and pray that we can remain close even through this separation period. I mean, hell, if Tyler and I can do it...pssh, everyone else is a piece of cake!
Thus, I digress...I have lots of emotion running through me right now, but overall, I'm so excited! Can't wait to get to Germany and tell everyone all about it. :)
