The Olympics are Here!

{Via}
The Olympics have begun, and I'm SO EXCITED! I love the Olympics! The funny thing is, I'm not very athletic, or that competitive - ok, ok...I can be competitive, but not like this. Regardless, I've always had a fascination and love for the Olympics.

Unlike many people I've talked to, I enjoyed the opening ceremonies. Was it bizarre? Yes. Did it get confusing? Absolutely. But, I still managed to enjoy them.

How was everyone's week? My was filled with  getting used to a new office building and work (per usual). I did manage to go out to happy hour with co-workers, watch project runway with a friend, and of course I watched the opening ceremonies, but other than that, it's been work, work, and work. This weekend I'm going to get some good relaxing in. I feel like I could use it :) Well, that and I'm going wine tasting tomorrow! Hooray :D

What are your weekend plans?

Do you like the Olympics? What are some of your favorite events to watch?

Have a great weekend friends!

Weekend Review

Saturday, I had a wonderful time in Los Olivos tasting wine and going to a wine pick-up party with one of my best friends, Joelle. Good food, good wine, best friend...could it get any better?

Sunday, I had a very relaxing and lazy day. It was a no makeup, t-shirt and shorts kind of day. Of course, I wished my dad a happy father's day, but he's all the way in Texas, and Tyler's dad is off on a golfing trip, so I didn't have any dads to celebrate with.
After Tyler got off work, we went out with some of his co-workers to a local bar. It was a pretty good time!

This week hasn't been too bad so far. Lots of prepping for my work trip to Boston. I'm so excited about this trip! I've never been to Boston, so if you have any recommendations of where to go, what to do and see, please, send them my way. I'd be most appreciative.

I think we could use some inspiration for the rest of the week, what do you guys think? This has become one of my favorite quotes of late, so please enjoy:

Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”

Home Creations

Happy Friday Friends! So, I updated the couch a bit:
What do you think? I think it help to bring in that MUCH needed color. We still need to  hang more things on the wall, but it's a work in progress.
The floral pillow came in a pack of two from Homegoods. Oh, Homegoods...how I love you.It was such a great find! It's the pillows, plus the cover, AND they're machine washable! Even better.

The yellow and white stripped pillows are from a store in Germany called Moemaxx. It was on our couch in German, and since then, they have been on our bed. I decided since it's the spring, it's time to bring on the color! Plus, they look great with the other pillows on the couch.

Tyler and I are having a housewarming/his birthday party on Saturday. We're so excited to host our first party in our new place!
For this grand occasion, I decided to make some wine charms:

I just used some black eye pins and a bag of multicolored craft beads. Simple huh? Not as cute as I may have liked, but I think they'll be useful. :)

Well, that's all I have for you guys today. Look forward to a post later this weekend about our big party (I'm making boysenberry cheesecake, regular cheesecake with a sour cream topping, pineapple
wrapped with bacon, and much more! )
What are your plans for the weekend? Anything fun?
Have a great day friends :)

What to do Wednesday

Hello Friends! Happy Hump Day, hehe. I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Tyler's Army buddy got here Friday evening and we went out for some delicious Sushi. Then, we came home, drank a lot of beer and watched movies. Good Friday night if ya ask me. I may have preferred to drink wine, but hey, what ya gonna do.
Saturday Tyler, myself, and his parents went to Spamalot. It's such a fun show! I loved it! Before we went to the show, we hung out in Hollywood and had a delicious dinner. After the show, we walked around came home and crashed. Tyler's friend was so tired from all of his traveling, that he enjoyed just coming back and watching some movies.
Sunday, I  helped with photo shoot. I got sun burnt, but it was still a good time. :)

Yesterday, I had a phone interview, and then was emailed some tests to take. The phone interview went well, but I only did ok on the tests. I hope they call me back, I would really enjoy working there. While taking the tests today, the staffing agency called me, and they got me an interview for tomorrow! Woohoo! It's doing temporary customer service calling for a shelving company, but ya know, I feel like I shouldn't be too picky at the moment. Thoughts?

Not only am I trying to decide/figure what to do with my life, I'm also trying to decide what this blog is for me. I enjoy writing, but do people care? Does it matter if people read this or care? I kind of do this for me anyway (and no, I'm not just saying that). I feel a blog is a great outlet for telling others about your life, ideas, projects, jobs, what you're selling, etc.
I mean, I do need to get on a better schedule, but do people want to read about my life and things I care about? Do I have a voice? Do I have a good writing style? Do I need to post more pictures? My questions could go on and on. But I digress. I'll figure it out, but advice, thoughts, ideas are always appreciated :).
Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope you've had a great day!

Thoughts for Tuesday

Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope you all had a great President's Day weekend. I know I did.
This weekend we bought a new couch, had a wonderful dinner with friends, celebrated one of my best friend's birthdays, had great wine, amazing cupcakes, got Tyler's sister all moved in...need I say more?

This week I have some goals for myself:
1. Start a new workout routine (new chapter = new routine)
2. Apply for more jobs (this includes temp agencies)
3. Make delicious dinners ( I have 2 planned already :) )
4. Become better at creating blog titles (haha, this may take time)

Now, I there are some other goals, but those are more long-term. I think these 3 are very doable for this week, don't ya think?

Now, speaking of delicious dinners, check out what my husband, Tyler, made tonight:
That, my friends is habanero chicken, served with broccoli, garlic rice, and mango. Mmm mmm, so good! I think I have a chef on my hands! Hehe. :)

Now that I've been totally random talking about my weekend, my goals, and the delicious dinner I had, I'll leave you with an inspiring quote. I hope it will inspire all of us (yes, that includes little old me) this week. :)
"Act as if what you do makes a difference.
It does.

Well, Hello There Monday!

And, it's Monday again. Where did the weekend go? Sometimes, I think they go by too quickly. I mean, it's not like I have anything real pressing to do anyway.
Thursday, I had my interview at 9. Like I said in my last post, it was ok, but I've done better. I've done MUCH worse. I could kind of tell that one of the woman didn't really like me, and honestly, she rubbed me the wrong way. Oh well. I found out the next day, in the evening, that I didn't get the job. I think it's for the best...something better will come along, right?
Speaking of Friday, that morning, the family dog (kind of Tyler's dog) Buddy starting shaking and acting really weird. He just wasn't himself. So, we told Tyler's mom and they went off to the vet. Tyler and I would've gone, but he had to take placement tests at his college. I had to go with him because we were going to sign our apartment lease after. Buddy had blood tests, ultra-sounds, and x-rays...poor thing. It was finally determined that there were 3 rocks in his intestines and he needed surgery. He was rushed to the emergency vet, where they took more x-rays and did that thing where they take a video camera inside you. While looking for the rocks, they decided they were far enough along, that he could just pass them naturally. But, he was so dehydrated, and his pancreas was inflamed, so they kept him over night. :(
The next morning (Saturday), Tyler's mom and I went to go get him. Boy, was he happy to come home. Buddy is doing well, but still has some shaky pain moments. He's on a restricted diet, lots of rest, and of course, pain meds. I hope he gets better soon.

Saturday afternoon, Tyler, his parents, and myself went to a "Life Celebration" for his neighbor that has passed away. It was beautiful. There were videos, pictures, and wonderful words spoken. After that, there was lots of wine and appetizers. I think that's how I want my funeral to be...a celebration of my life. It was so great. Afterwards, we went and saw The Artist. Oh man, if you haven't seen that movie, I HIGHLY recommend it. It is a silent film, but it's great! I loved it.
Sunday, Tyler and his dad were off to Los Olivos to pick up Tyler's mom's valentine's day present ( a wine barrel), so his mom and I prepared food for the Superbowl. In the afternoon, Tyler got a call, and we officially have an apartment! I can't wait to move out and have our own space!!! I'm so excited!!! Eh hem...anyway...back to the Superbowl...now, honestly, I don't really care about the Superbowl...I watch it for the commercials, the half-time show, and the social aspect. Haha. There were a couple good commercials, but honestly, I remember them being a bigger deal. Speaking of being a bigger deal, let's talk Madonna. I enjoy Madonna, and I enjoyed the half-time show, but honestly, it was nothing to right home about. Ah well.

So friends, it's Monday again. Buddy has a doctor's appointment to check up on him, Tyler starts school (YAY!), and I, well, I will  figure out something to do haha. I always do. :) Happy Monday!

Weekend Review

Hello friends, happy Monday! Well, at least, I hope it's happy haha. Today was a day filled with grocery shopping and helping Tyler's mom take stuff to storage. Oh yeah, I also scheduled a phone interview! Eek! It's on Wednesday, wish me luck.
This weekend started off relaxing, but got busy towards the end. Saturday, we relaxed and had dinner with some dear friends. Sunday, I woke up early to go to a flea market, had brunch at Mimi's (yum!), came home and hung out with Tyler's grandparents (who gave us a recliner...I do like free things), and chilled with the family. I got the cutest tea cups from the flea market! I can't wait to display them. Speaking of which, I can't wait to put a deposit down on a apartment. I'm getting so antsy. I can't wait to decorate and have my own space! Sigh, it will happen...soon.
Before I start making dinner, I'm going to leave you with this:

Great Finds

Wow! It's Saturday already? Can you believe it? Where did Thursday and Friday go? I'll tell you.
Thursday consisted of apartment hunting and playing phone tag with a potential future employer. I just have to have another phone and in-person interview. Tyler and I fell in love with this one apartment, now all we have to do is get approved and we'll be moving out of his parents house. Woohoo! I'm so ready and excited!
Yesterday, Friday, we test drove a car, went out to dinner, and just stayed home, relaxed, watched a movie, and had some wine. A good night if you ask me. Oh yeah, we also got this amazing coffee table from Craigslist.

This, my friends, was only $25. WHAT?! The previous owners only had it for 5 years, so it's in pretty good condition; only a few scratches and what not. Tyler and I want to change the drawer handles, but other than that, we love it! Our future apartment is slowly, but surely coming together.

Weekend Review

Hello Friends! I hope you all all having a good Sunday. Let's discuss my weekend, shall we? Ok...
Friday, after I went and rescued my neighbor (long story short, she locked herself out of her car lol), I went and ran errands before our Going Away Party. Friends and neighbors came to our very empty apartment and brought LOTS of food and drink. It was actually a really good time! We were a little sad that some people couldn't make it or just didn't show up, but life goes on.
The next day, after cleaning up a little more, I noticed that my throat was really hurting. Oh no. Usually what this means is that a cold is coming. Ugh. Great. Just what I need right now. I loaded myself up with cough drops, and went downtown with one of my neighbors to do some Christmas shopping. By the time we were on our way home, my head was pounding, and I felt all cloudy. :(
Once I got home, I decided to take a nap. A few hours later (lol), I woke up and we ate dinner and went and watched a movie with a neighbor. But man, I was definitely not 100%. Best part, we saw Contagion lol.
Today, my throat felt a little better, but I could tell that I was getting stuffed up. Isn't that worst? Well, ok, it's not the worst, but it's up there. Once Tyler and I got ready for the day, we were off to post to meet the people buying our air conditioning unit and to finalize the selling of our car. Both sold! Great success! After that, we went downtown to the Christmas market and ate delicious food and got some good Christmas presents. Once we got home however, I felt well, not great. Ha. Then I took a nap and woke up just in time to get ready to go to our friends J and B for dinner and gluhwein. Mmmm. It was a pretty good day/night. I just wish I could shake this cold.

I know I don't look like that, but I feel like that. Ugh. I think it's time for me to go to bed before I have to get up and let the maintenance people in to fix our patio shutters.

Goodnight all. Happy Sunday! I hope you all had a good weekend :)

Weekend Review

Hey all. How was everyone's weekend? Here's a little review of what we did this weekend...
Saturday, we started to cook the Carnitas. Tyler had prepped Carnitas the night before and once we got up, we started cooking them. Oh man, they were smelling soooo good all day. I couldn't wait to eat them. In the afternoon, I went shopping downtown with neighbor/friend Catherine. My goal, to find new jeans and possibly new shoes. I had limit of how much I should spend, and was on my way. Why new jeans and shoes you may ask, well, 2 of my 4 jeans (yes, I only have 4 pairs of jeans right now) have holes in them. Not the cute holes...the ones on the thigh close to the crotch. Naturally, we went to H&M to look for jeans. Saturday was probably not the best day to try on jeans. It's SUPER crowded since most people don't have work and everything is closed Sunday. I did figure out my size (it's not normal European sizing), so that was helpful...yet, I still had problems. I picked out 3 pairs...two in one size and one in another size. Of the two that were the same size, one wouldn't even go all the way up, and the other was about to fall down. WHAT?? The one in the other size fit well, but looked super weird. They were higher waisted then thought...all in all, it wasn't a good look for me. Ugh. I wanted to try on more, but there were just too many people. I think I need to go during the week when there's less people.
Once I got home, it was almost time for some carnitas and movie night. Of course we were having a movie night. haha.
Today, I went to the commissary and PX for a few things. Oh man. The commissary was INSANE. There were so many people. So many rude people at that. I could barely get around and get the like 10 items I needed. It was super frustrating. I think most of my time was spent getting around people and standing in the check-out line. Ugh. Everyone was trying to get Thansgiving shopping done I guess. Makes me glad we won't be here. That's right people, no traditional Thanksgiving for me...I'll be in Spain! Anyway, the rest of Sunday was relaxing, watched tv, folded laundry (oh joy), ya know...the usual.
Well, I hope everyone had a good weekend!

Weekend Review

Last I left you it was Friday, Veteran's Day. Tyler was recovering from CQ and we had a wine and movie night. Good times.
Saturday, we had our good friends J and B come over for dinner. We made tri-tip with broccoli ad garlic mashed potatoes (mmm), and for dessert, I made cheesecake. This cheesecake looked A LOT prettier than the last cheesecake I made. Woohoo! Getting better! :). They were joking about how they need to come over once a week for dinner...made us feel pretty darn good about our cooking :)
Sunday is always our day of rest. Stores in Germany are closed, and we just liked to sit, relax, and watch TV. Sometimes we go for a walk or clean, but it's mostly a day for relaxing.

Before I leave this weekend review, how can I forget about the new game Skyrim. Tyler got it for his computer and he's been playing it sooooo much. I mean, it looks cool, but I'm just not a huge gamer. I played the Sims, Roller Coaster Tycoon and stuff like that. haha. He says it's amazing if anyone is interesting in playing it.

  Have a great day everybody!

Veterans Day

Happy Friday everyone! So, if you didn't know, today is Armistice Day, more commonly know as Veterans Day. According to the 2010 census, 7% of all Americans are Veterans and 0.75% are those currently serving.
I'd like to take a moment to thank all of those who have served, are serving, and have passed on. We appreciate you...we thank you. Also, I'd like to thank my personal hero, my husband, Tyler. Love you baby. Thank you for all you do.

Yesterday, Tyler had CQ, so I was alone all day/night. Plus, the owners of the dog we were dog sitting came home, so I was really alone at night. Worst part was that Tyler had the day off yesterday and today. Ugh. Sigh, happens. We were supposed to travel, but Tyler's CQ shift hindered are plans.
Today, Tyler recovered from CQ and I cleaned house. Thrilling huh? Hehe. Tonight, we ordered take-out (which we NEVER do) and are having lots of wine while watching TV and movies. :) Got to enjoy this time off while we can!
We're not sure what we will do the rest of the weekend, but I'm sure we'll come up with something fun :)

What are y'alls big plans for the weekend? Anything exciting?

Weekend Review

On Friday, Tyler and I went to a medic going away party for his Captain. It was also an early Thanksgiving celebration. We had delicious Puerto Rican food, some drinks, and of course, there was some dancing. :)
Saturday, we went with our friends to their Uncle's Vineyard and small restaurant in a very cute, small town about an hour away. The type of restaurant he owns is only open a few weekends twice a year. The food was delicious and the wine wasn't half bad. We had so much fun! Oh man...there were some CRAZY Germans. People even get bused in to this area to come to his restaurant and eat, drink and just have a great time. We had a guy come up to us because he could tell Tyler and our one friend were military. He wanted to buy us all a round of schnapps because he was in the German Army.
Random tree on a pole in the town

Tyler and I
Our dear friends :)

This was on the back of the coaster haha.
Sunday, we just relaxed and watched a bunch of TV and movies. We watched, Midnight in Paris, Misery and Margin Call. M movie day I guess haha. Loved Midnight in Paris...So cute. Tyler even enjoyed it. Misery is a classic, so we had to watch it. It was decent...It's creepy, but I enjoyed it. Margin Call wasn't really my cup of tea, but it had it moments and has a GREAT cast.

This week will most likely go by quickly since Tyler has a 4 day. Unfortunately, he has CQ on one of the days he has off, so we won't be going anywhere. Boooooo.  Oh, and starting tomorrow, we get to watch our neighbors boxer puppy! Woohoo! :) Should be a good time.
How was everybody else's weekend? Do anything exciting? Any big plans for the week?

Gotta Catch up!

Sorry that it's been awhile friends. I was just enjoying the long weekend (Tyler had a four day) and my hubby finally being home after about a month! Now it's time to catch up...
Friday, Tyler had the day off work, (woohoo!) and we he spent basically the whole day cooking. Cute right? He was making carne asada and carnitas for the Mexican Party we were going to that night. They were DELICIOUS! I wish we would've taken a picture. We were hoping to go home with leftovers, but no such luck. I guess that means they were good right? haha.
Saturday was our building Halloween Costume party. I made pumpkin spice cupcakes with cream cheese frosting and devil's food cupcakes with chocolate frosting. Of course they both had cute pumpkin wrappers and fun Halloween sprinkles. :) Oh yeah, on some of the chocolate ones I made faces haha.

A little before the party, Tyler decided to go to our local grocery store to make a meat, cheese, and bread platter and a frittata. Yes, you heard me right, a frittata. It was delicious! He's becoming quite the little cook. I mean, my cupcakes were good too of course haha. :p I'm glad he decided to make that platter and frittata though, otherwise there would have been WAY too many sweets and not enough food with substance. I though my neighbors were supposed to order pizza...oh well. All in all the party was a fun time. Our apartment was for food, socializing, and eventually sing star (haha), and our neighbor's apartment was for drinking games and the "main event."
Tyler and I as Pirates hehe
Casey and I playing sing star

Sunday and Monday were relaxing days to clean, catch up on TV, watch movies, etc. Tyler even made us biscuits and gravy one morning! Now, Monday was Halloween. I've been told that Halloween has gotten big in Germany in the past 4 or 5 years, so yes, people do "celebrate" it. We even got trick or treaters, but we forgot to get candy...fail. Luckily, some of our neighbors had candy, so I just put a sign on the front door of our apartment building to go up to them. haha.
Tuesday,  I finally finished cleaning all the floors in the apartment from the party. Woohoo! I also helped a neighbor move her car (it had died...ugh), did oh so many dishes (how do we even have this many to do), and just did general house work. Oh yeah, I also went to Zumba. Love me some zumba. For dinner, I made lasagna. It was my first attempt at homemade lasagna, and I have to say...it wasn't half bad! It looked not so good though haha.

Yay me! We're going to have leftovers of it tonight! mmmm can't wait.

How was everyone else's weekend and Halloween?

Weekend Review

Saturday, was the girl scout Masquerade Ball. The girls were all dressed up, masks and all, and they all looked SO GREAT! :). I think they had a good time too; most of them didn't want to leave hehe. Guess we did good, huh? The event was from 2 to 4 (pm of course). So it's not lunch, and it's not dinner...what does one do? Snacks and decorating cookies of course! I was helping at that station, so an apron was a MUST haha. We had four different stations, craft (you get your picture taken, then you make a frame for it), cookie decorating, makeup (with temporary tattoos there as well) and dancing. They learned the Popcorn dance...I think that's what it's called anyway. At the end they performed the dance they learned and there was a mask contest. It was so much fun! :)

No I did not make the mask...I bought it hehe. It was so cheap and so pretty, how could I pass it up? :p
After the Masquerade Ball,  I went to my husband's Captain's house to have a meeting about the FRG's (Family Readiness Group's) Christmas Party. I volunteered to help with that, as did my dear friend Jessica, as my last hoorah before we leave. I LOVE planning things and I LOVE Christmas, so naturally I had to help. It was fun to get together with Jessica and two other woman and eat, chat, and plan, but it made for a long day. When I finally got home, I was so tired.
Sunday, I relaxed and cleaned the apartment. Later, I went over to Jessica's to have some girl time before the guys come home. hehe.
Monday and today, I ran errands, and am preparing the apartment for Tyler's arrival. Also had a fun lunch today with my neighbor/friend Casey hehe. So ready to have Tyler home! About damn time in fact. ha.
How's everybody else doing?

Weekend Review

Friday, I went to the gym, cleaned, folded laundry (thrilling I know) and just relaxed. Saturday, I attempted to see Crazy, Stupid, Love. My friends and I got there and they told us that the last base had scratched it a little, so bits were ruined. We decided to not go and go back to my place to pick a movie to watch. If I would've been expecting people, I would've prepared more food, but since I wasn't I had to scramble together some things like chips and salsa. After the movie, we all started chatting, two of us has some wine and we stayed up til about 2:30! WHAT!? It was a lot of fun. Two of the girls husbands are deployed and me and the other girl's husbands are training, so it was a nice girls night. :)
Sunday, I took a very chilly walk (it's started to get cold booooo) and then, I actually saw Crazy, Stupid, Love. I really liked it! I mean, it's kind of depressing at times, but I REALLY liked it. Afterwards, I went to dinner to with my friend who I haven't seen in months. It was so nice to catch up. :)
Today, I'm going to go to the gym and hang out with some of the neighbors...go shopping and what not. :) Should be a good time!
   How was everyone else's weekend?

Already the weekend

via
via
If you haven't guessed from the above photos, I went shopping for dirndls today with my wonderful neighborson Casey. :). We didn't get any, because the hubbies want final approval haha. We found some SUPER cute ones, and I can't wait to show them to Tyler and get one for this years Oktoberfest.
Also, I know this is late, but it's ALREADY August?! What the?? My parents come in like two weeks. Woah. But, that also means Tyler comes home soon :)
No big plans for the weekend, just more of the same. What about you guys? Any big plans for the weekend? HAPPY FRIDAY!

On My Own

"Pretending he's beside me. All alone, I walk with him till morning. Without him, I feel his arms around me...And when I lose my way I close my eyes and he has found me." - On My Own, Les Miserables

Well, Tyler's gone, so I have the house to myself for a bit. It's a happy/sad. Happy because I'll have the car to myself and get the apartment all clean with no interference. Sad because, well, he's gone and I don't get to see/be with him for awhile. :( Time for some movies and girl time! Oh yeah, I also have to get the spare room ready for when my parents come in a few weeks :)

Thursday Tyler took me out to dinner at our favorite little Italian place. It was a nice change since we don't eat out all that much. Friday Tyler left (sad day). Then today, I went to a Flea Market in the morning with a neighbor. Unfortunately, I didn't find anything :( . Ah well. Now I'm watching another neighbor's precious little Yorkie, Radley, while they're on a vacay. He's so cute! I'll be sure to put up some pics soon.  How's everyone else's weekend thus far?

Weekend re-cap

So I re-did the design/layout. The hubby says he's going to FINALLY help me make this little blog look better, woot! This design is just because I was bored with the old one and I felt a change was needed sooner rather than later.
Friday I went out to a birthday party for a girl I met in SNAPS class. It was really fun! Just the gals...got dinner/drinks at a steak place, then went to this crazy club. It was fun, but I'm not sure if I'd go back. ha.
A friend and I waiting for the bday festivities to begin :)

Saturday, Tyler and I had a lazy day...watched TV and movies and just hung around the house. Always nice to do. That night we also polished off 2 bottles of wine...whoops! haha. Oh how I love wine.
Sunday, today, well, it was kind of another lazy day. We did make a list of things he/we need to get done before he leaves for like 2 weeks. Ugh. Oh the Army. Such a love/hate relationship haha.

How was everyone else's weekend?

Friday, Friday...Gotta Get Down on Friday....

And now you all have the Rebbecca Black song stuck in your head like I do almost every Friday since that horrid fun song came out. Muwhahaha. If you don't know what I'm talking, well where have you been these past couple months?! Unfortunately, her record company has removed all of the videos from youtube, so you will just have to do a search yourself :).

Anyway! Wednesday, Tyler comes home from work and says, "I have to jump tomorrow. Ugh." (For those of you who don't know what that means, he's airborne, so he has to jump out of airplanes every now and then to keep in practice.)
Me: "Oh really? What time do you have to be there?"
Tyler: "12:30."
Me: "wait...as in AM??"
Tyler: "Yup."
Me: "WHAT?! Go take a nap!"
Tyler: "I don't think I can. And besides, that may make it worse."
Ugh! So early! So, we stayed up, had a late dinner and watched TV. I did not go to bed until he left because I thought it would be too mean if I went to bed haha. He had to get there so early because they were having a morning jump, but did that happen of course not. He didn't jump until like 4:30 that evening. Then, he didn't get home until 11:30/12 that night. He looked wrecked. It was bad. But, good news, he got some sleep while he was there, and didn't have to be in to work until 1 today :).

Yesterday was kind of a girls day/night. I went to the lake with 3 of my lovely neighbors (plus one baby and puppy) and just walked around, chatted and ate at the cafe there. After going home to relax and clean, that evening, we went to base to have dinner and drinks. Two other girls joined for this round. :) Then, we went back to our apaartment and had some more drinks/conversation until the guys got back from jumping. It was a really fun night with the girls! It was a nice change in pace too; we're definitely going to need to do this more often. *note to self...I need to take more pictures of these events!*

"Yesterday was Thursday (Thursday), to-to-day is Friday (Friday). We we we so excited...we so excited..." Ok, that's enough.
But yes, it is Friday. I got some recycling done, planning dinner, got a good workout in this morning...who knows what tonight and this weekend may bring! Happy Friday everyone :)
